Position Overview

The Kitchen Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment at Borgata Event Centre by Avani. This position is essential for ensuring that all culinary activities run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and disinfect kitchen areas, including work surfaces, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supplies Management: Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Disposal: Efficiently remove kitchen waste and garbage.
  • Knife Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed for meal preparation.
Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a kitchen setting.
