Hairstylist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hairstylist to join our team at Red Earth Barbershop and Beauty Spa. As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, styling, and coloring hair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments and recommend personalized hair care plans.
  • Analyze hair and scalp conditions to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatments, including shampoos, conditioners, and styling products.
  • Supervise apprentices and students in training to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair to meet client preferences.
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with client physical features and preferences.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced salon environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Use hand-eye coordination to perform hair styling and coloring techniques.
Personal Suitability:
  • Provide exceptional client service and focus on meeting client needs.
  • Develop efficient interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Be reliable and a team player to ensure seamless salon operations.
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
