Octopus Academy Richmond is seeking Full-Time Infant Caregivers.
  • NOC Job Code/Title: Infant Daycare Worker

Employment Terms: Full-time, Permanent

  • Compensation: $20.00~$25.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Positions Available: 3
  • Vacation Pay: 4%
  • Benefits: Dental & Extended Health Care Plan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily activities through storytelling and reading.
  • Design and execute childcare programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Provide bathing, diapering, and feeding for infants and toddlers.
  • Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
  • Oversee and provide activity suggestions to early childhood educators and assistants.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with fellow staff members.
  • Identify potential learning or behavioral concerns in children and prepare reports for guardians or supervisors.
  • Discuss children's progress and challenges during staff meetings.
  • Assess the interests and needs of children, engaging in discussions with parents and staff regarding their development and any challenges faced.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset.
  • Education: A College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E. Certificate, and IT Certificate.
