Job Title: Wind Service Technician

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited as a Wind Service Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of our wind turbines at our Alberta Wind Turbine site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall performance.
  • Develop and implement new procedures and best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and safety.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or equivalent in a field related to electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLC programming and converters.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites within and outside Canada.
