Job Overview

At DHOLAN WOOD CRAFT LTD., we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Plywood Grader. This role is essential in ensuring that our wood products meet the highest quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and label wood products based on established quality criteria.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of plywood panels, veneer sheets, panelboards, shingles, and other wood products to identify defects.
  • Measure wood products to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Classify and sort lumber in accordance with industry standards.
  • Visually examine lumber for imperfections such as knots, holes, and splits.
  • Measure lumber to confirm it meets specified dimensions.
  • Organize lumber for additional drying, trimming, or remanufacturing processes.
  • Mark lumber to indicate grade, wood type, moisture content, and other relevant characteristics.
  • Maintain accurate tallies of lumber inventory.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Perform repetitive tasks.
  • Handle heavy loads as part of daily duties.
  • Engage in physically demanding activities.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail.
  • Alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
