Occupational Therapist

London, Ontario, Canada Arvan Rehab Group Full time

Arvan Rehab Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in a Long Term Care home in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will work closely with residents to improve their activities of daily living.

**Schedule:**

* 4-5 hours per week

**Job Duties:**

* Conduct OT/ADP assessments for residents per College standards, develop individualized treatment plans, and document all progress notes in the facility's health record system
* Complete feeding assessments for residents
* Complete assessments for falls prevention and Least Restraints, including reviews of bed rails
* Work with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff in regards to wound management (ex: positioning, lifting and transferring
* Work with multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations with respect to other interventions or treatments (ex: Restorative Care, Pain Management, Contingence Management), and ensure the interventions follow best practices

**Qualifications:**

* Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario, and must have ADP Authorizer
* Must have Professional License Insurance
* Excellent interpersonal and listening skills while interacting with residents or their families
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working in a Long Term Care home would be a definite asset
* Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required
