About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Store Sales Associate to join our team at Porter Creek Super A Foods. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure that products are properly displayed and priced.
  • Cash Handling and Operations: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stockroom and Receiving: Receive and stock merchandise, verify inventory levels, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, provide feedback and support, and maintain open communication with management and other departments.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail sales experience.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, organized, and reliability.
