Job Description

**Job Summary**

Purolator is seeking a highly skilled Control Tower Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for evaluating and stabilizing discrepancies within our physical security network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to security alarms and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention, Regional Service Lead teams, and Network Operations to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Provide access control and automatic video display with voice communications.
  • Dispatch personnel and escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Support investigations with video review and surveillance for theft, fraud, and health and safety-related matters.
  • Manage and maintain employee access and ID card systems and databases.
  • Work with the Control Tower Line Haul, Ground, and Air teams on various duties in transportation management, communications, GPS tracking, and trip tracking.
  • Assist with coordinating crisis response when required.
  • Analyze operational and client-specific data to identify areas for improved customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the security service industry.
  • Knowledge of multi-facility security principles, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret building diagrams for facilities.
  • Knowledge of basic security principles and dispatching.
  • Knowledge of transportation security and GPS.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a rotational schedule 24/7/365.
