We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Analyst - Energy to join our Electrical team at Intertek. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in growing our Energy business in North America.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on and off-site evaluations of products to determine compliance with applicable standards and document results.
- Perform testing of products in accordance with standards.
- Develop and communicate test procedures, new test fixtures, and report shells for local office.
- Investigate technical complaints for the local office and support accreditation efforts by performing technical audits locally.
- Demonstrate expertise in multiple product categories for the local office.
- Provide quotations for a large array of standards and complex projects and products.
- Provide complex sales support such as giving presentations during client visits.
- Communicate project status and test results to clients, sales personnel, and management throughout testing.
- Actively represent Intertek by participating on standards/industry committees and/or associations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 4 years directly related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards.
- Experience in standards such as UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1741, UL 1973, IEEE 1547, UL 2200, etc.
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025, etc.).
- Effective organization and time management skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Office expertise.
- Travel up to 60% as business dictates.
- A valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 6+ years directly related experience.
- Prior project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience with international product safety standards such as ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC.
