Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Switchboard Operator to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our switchboard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, providing information and assistance to patients, staff, and the public.
  • Operate the internal paging system and initiate emergency response calls as required.
  • Monitor the fire panel and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the switchboard.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
  • Previous switchboard experience, preferably using Mitel equipment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and with confidence in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work all shifts.
  • English language proficiency at level A- is mandatory, with bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.

What We Offer:

A competitive hourly rate of $24.15 to $26.30, depending on experience.
