About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Coil Winder and Repairer to join our team at Powerite Automotive Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting: Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify issues and implement repairs.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Component Fabrication and Replacement: Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components as needed.
  • Welding and Brazing: Perform welding or brazing operations to repair or replace components.
  • Coil Winding and Installation: Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils to ensure proper function.
  • On-Site Servicing and Repair: Perform on-site servicing and repair of equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Electrical Switchgear Repair: Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable and subject to a criminal record check.
