We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Interpretive Guide to join our team at the Institut des arts au Saguenay. As a key member of our museum staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative guided tours to visitors, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of our region.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality guided tours to museum visitors, highlighting the significance and relevance of our exhibits.
- Assist with the planning and development of travelling exhibitions and special events, working closely with our curatorial team to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our visitors.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of cultural interpretation, ensuring that our tours and programs are always informative and engaging.
- Work collaboratively with our museum staff to achieve our goals and objectives, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
- Operate audio-visual equipment as required, ensuring that our exhibits and programs are presented in a professional and engaging manner.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as museum studies, cultural interpretation, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Language: Fluency in French is required, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work setting: This is a temporary position, working 28 hours per week in a rural area.
