We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Animal Control Officer at the North Bay and District Humane Society.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce animal control by-laws and regulations in a fair and humane manner.
- Respond to animal-related calls and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide education and outreach to the community on animal welfare and control issues.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to odours and noise. They will be required to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel regularly. The work setting is an animal shelter, and the candidate must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Requirements- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
