Job Opportunity at RhynoCare
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at RhynoCare. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Milverton area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Excellent Nursing Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
- Utilize Sound Nursing Practice Principles: Ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure Timely and Accessible Admissions: Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate Nursing Care: Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of the residents.
Requirements:
- Active Registration: Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Infectious Disease Experience: Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases.
- Certifications: BLS Certificate, Valid First Aid & CPR, Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), Proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year, and Hepatitis B.
- Police Check: Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to work flexible shift times, including eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length.
- Floatability: Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability: Must be reliable to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance: Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
