About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Onyx-Fire Protection Services Inc. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Testing: Install fire alarm systems in new construction and existing buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire alarm systems, replacing defective components as needed.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation and repair
  • Language: English
  • Work Environment: Dusty, noisy work environments
  • Work Setting: Repair, urban area, on-site customer service, rural area, remote location, installation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate
  • Tools and Equipment: Own tools and equipment, including gloves, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed safety boots
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, reliability, flexibility
