About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts Inc. to support the development of our games and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data analysts to implement data strategies and develop complex ETL pipelines to support dashboards for promoting deeper understanding of our games and operational processes.
  • Develop and establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses.
  • Stay informed of the latest trends and research on all aspects of data engineering and analytics.
  • Implement efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data.
  • Work with analysts to understand requirements, develop technical specifications for ETLs, including documentation.
  • Support production code to produce comprehensive and accurate datasets.
  • Promote strategies to improve our data modeling, quality, and architecture.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in a data engineering role.
  • Expertise in SQL Server/T-SQL, proficiency in writing performant SQL queries and scripts.
  • Extensive knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Experience developing Python and C#/.NET solutions, knowledge in SSIS and PowerShell.
  • Experience working with cloud environments, databases, and workflows such as Azure, GCP, and AWS, in addition to knowledge of cloud-based databases such as Snowflake.
  • Experience in debugging, root cause analysis, monitoring, and data pipelines operations support.
  • Familiarity working with SQL engines and abilities to conduct advanced performance tuning and query execution optimization.
  • Familiarity of orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Experience with engineering development ecosystem involving Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, code release, and deployment.
  • Comfortable working with a multi-functional team, both locally and remote, understanding the perspectives of each partner.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiar with process management tools such as JIRA, Target process, Trello, or similar.
