About the Role:

As a Health Care Aide, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide personalized support to patients in their homes, communities, or healthcare facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient progress and report any concerns to healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
