About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled C++ Software Developer Intern to join our Engine Product Development team at Safe Software. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of new features and the maintenance of existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality C++ code to support the functionality of our FME product platform.
  • Analyze and debug complex issues to ensure the stability and performance of our software.
  • Participate in daily team stand-up meetings to share ideas and collaborate with other team members.
  • Contribute to peer code reviews and brainstorming sessions to improve code quality and share knowledge.
  • Learn and explore new and existing technologies to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
Requirements
  • Proficient with C++ including modern features.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical topics.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and propose solutions to solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub.
  • Experience with Computational Geometry.
  • Experience with floating-point error mitigation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).
  • Previous Co-op or related experience in software development.
