We are seeking a skilled Edgebanding Specialist to join our team at Teknion. As an Edgebanding Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our edgebanding equipment, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

• Edgebanding Operations
  • Set up and operate edgebanding equipment according to job specifications, including adjusting feed speed, cutter heads, and pressure settings.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the edgebander, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts as needed.
  • Monitor the edgebanding process to ensure finished products meet quality standards, including inspecting for defects, proper edge alignment, and adherence of edgebanding material.
• Quality Control
  • Inspect raw materials for quality and dimensions before edgebanding.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with the edgebander during operation, such as machine jams, feed inconsistencies, or blade dullness, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Safety and Efficiency
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines, optimizing machine settings and minimizing downtime for changeovers or maintenance.

• Experience
  • 2+ years of experience working on an edgebander or similar machine.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize work activities based upon primary duties.
  • Inquisitive by nature and driven by the pursuit of excellence to consistently ensure constant growth and achievement.
  • Demonstrates good initiative working safely, reporting and participating in Environmental Health and Safety.
