About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Lead to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Senior Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading complex projects using Agile methodologies and lean approach techniques. You will work closely with application owners to understand software currency needs and technical constraints, and establish the scope of the project and define and deliver complex features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects using Agile methodologies and lean approach techniques
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
  • Establish priorities, standards, and strategies consistent with technology roadmap, business goals, and economic viability
  • Work with application owners to understand software currency needs and technical constraints
  • Translate business requirements and bank standards into technical guidelines for development
  • Lead software currency initiatives and manage diverse projects
  • Provide input to the continuous improvement of processes and adopting latest technologies and methodologies
  • Coach for effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across groups
Requirements
  • Solid CS foundation including experience in a software engineering and development role
  • Passionate about technology and maintains superior knowledge of emerging industry trends across multiple disciplines
  • Thinks outside of the box and able to lead teams to innovate
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity in a sophisticated matrix management organization
  • Good knowledge of Global Wealth products and services
  • Good relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills
