Riddell Kurczaba is seeking a talented and motivated intermediate interior designer to join our team. As an experienced interior design professional, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement interior design concepts and solutions for clients, working closely with senior staff and project administrative staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with local approving authorities to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in Revit and AutoCAD, including creating detailed drawings and designs.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and construction administrative support under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Attend meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and senior staff to discuss project progress and requirements.
  • Prepare and present design concepts, space plans, and finish selections to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer.
  • Ensure compliance with Alberta Building Code requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and organized drawing files and lists.
  • Develop and maintain strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Hold a diploma or degree from a 3+ year interior design or technology program.
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of post-graduation experience working as a job captain or intermediate level support on various projects in Canada.
  • Possess excellent AutoCAD and Revit skills.
