About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Egg Roll King Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items, including operating dishwashers, washing and peeling vegetables and fruits, and portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Equipment Operation: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and operate conventional ovens, deep fryers, and grills.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, initiative, dependability, and positive attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
