- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to detail and physical stamina to perform tasks.
- Cultural Competency: Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Language Support: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Cultural Awareness: Provides cultural awareness training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Language: English.
- Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
