About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work under the supervision of a Team Leader or Manager, responsible for performing a variety of engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical calculations, including equipment sizing and system performance quantities.
  • Carry out electrical design for existing or new facilities, including general arrangement, installation details, electrical control and protection schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials.
  • Ensure the correctness, quality, and cost-effectiveness of all electrical work on assigned projects.
  • Stay current with applicable Department, Discipline, and Project procedures.
  • Assist project Leaders and Managers with definition and monitoring of work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget.
  • Engage Discipline Senior Engineers as required and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering and PEO membership.
  • 5+ years of working experience in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset.
  • Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.
  • Preferably has previous experience in nuclear, power generation, transmission and distribution, consulting engineering fields and renewables/sustainable industries.
