Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will spearhead multiple impactful initiatives and propel various product and technology strategies in the realms of artificial intelligence and automation. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in assisting the organization in overcoming complex challenges and advancing several technical dimensions. Your contributions are anticipated to resonate both in product delivery and in critical research and development endeavors. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor and cultivate the next generation of AI professionals and technology innovators within Vention.
As a technology-driven and product-focused high-growth startup, this position is central to our strategic execution, involving regular collaboration with the Executive Committee and Senior Leadership across all departments. You should be a proactive individual with exceptional leadership qualities and outstanding communication skills. Vention's engineering team consists of results-oriented professionals dedicated to achieving ambitious goals in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly familiarize yourself with the Vention platform and its diverse offerings.
- Collaborate with the CTO to develop, enhance, and sustain Vention's AI technical roadmap.
- Design proof of concepts for essential AI subsystems and determine pathways for product integration.
- Explore the potential of mission-driven AI concepts to streamline machine programming.
- Oversee the technical progression of our AI collaborations.
- Address challenging and intricate AI and Machine Learning issues to fulfill our product roadmap and technology stack.
- Work alongside Vention's technical leaders, including software development managers and engineers, to architect and implement optimal technical designs, delivering value swiftly to Vention's software platform while maintaining high software quality.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in software, AI, and robotics technologies.
Essential Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in software development.
- More than 5 years of experience in Machine Learning and AI projects with demonstrated commercial applications.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and familiarity with web development frameworks such as React.
- Experience in designing responsive systems, both embedded and cloud/web-based.
- Knowledge of distributed system architecture and associated technical challenges.
- Strong ownership of all phases throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and beyond.
- A solid sense of accountability, demonstrating ownership over comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
- Enthusiasm for new challenges and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
