Job Summary

RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Coordinate Care Services: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure Resident Safety: Implement protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and infections, and ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage Medications and Supplies: Safeguard medications, narcotics, and supplies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and empathy.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Remain current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
  • Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes.
  • Clearances: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
