Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Coordinate Care Services: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure Resident Safety: Implement protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and infections, and ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Safeguard medications, narcotics, and supplies, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and empathy.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Remain current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes.
- Clearances: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
