Job Title: Draftsperson

We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team at 7095287 Canada Inc. as a key member of our design and drafting department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates. They will also be required to write technical reports, estimate costs and materials, and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and presentations.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Write technical reports and documentation.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • AutoCAD Certification and Drafting Trade Certification.
  • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in drafting and design.
  • Knowledge of project management software and desktop applications.
  • Ability to relocate for this position.
