Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Kawartha Heights Retirement Living. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents.

Employment Details

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset
Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure cleanliness
  • Dust and maintain furniture
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change linens
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to residents
  • Organize and stock the linen closet
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Maintain cleanliness in operating rooms and other areas
  • Clean and disinfect elevators
  • Handle and report lost and found items
  • Respond to residents' requests for additional supplies
  • Provide basic information about facilities
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns
Security and Safety
  • Criminal record check required
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks and handling of heavy loads
  • Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Overtime may be required
