About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Class Design Irrigation & Landscaping Ltd. As a key member of our landscape maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: No formal degree or certification is required, but a willingness to learn and train on the job is essential.
  • Work Experience: We offer on-the-job training for the right candidate, so prior experience is not necessary.
  • Work Setting: You will work at various locations, including residential and commercial properties, to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces.
  • Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
    • Cut and maintain grass, including mowing, edging, and trimming.
    • Rake and collect refuse, including leaves and debris.
    • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor spaces.
    • Lay sod or seed to enhance outdoor spaces.
    • Repair and maintain equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscape maintenance tools.
    • Write daily progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
    • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure their health and appearance.
    • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
