About The Role
As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our shelter programs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. Your leadership and dedication will directly impact the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to Hostel/Residential Supervisors, conducting performance reviews, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring adherence to established policies.
- Resident Support: Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, providing direct case management, addressing concerns, and coordinating with community agencies for seamless transitions.
- Operational Oversight: Maintain the smooth functioning of the shelter, including monitoring incident reports, managing disciplinary procedures, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with the Director on program development, special events, and community outreach initiatives to enhance our impact.
- Human Resources Management: Assist with staff recruitment, training, and performance management, upholding The Salvation Army's values and mission.
We seek a compassionate and experienced leader with a proven track record in managing teams within a social services setting. Your expertise should encompass:
- Extensive experience working with marginalized populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders.
- Strong supervisory skills, demonstrated ability to coach and mentor staff effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a commitment to continuous learning.
