Job Title: School Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team at School District #50 (Haida Gwaii). As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate school buses to transport students within the district
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of school buses
  • Work under the supervision of the Manager of Operations
  • Take direction from Principals and individual teachers
Qualifications:
  • Grade 10 graduation
  • Valid BC Class 2 Driver's License
  • One year related experience
  • Ability to interact with students in an effective manner
  • Ability to apply established methods and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Physical capability to perform the job duties
  • Willingness to obtain Worksafe BC - Level 1 First Aid if requested
  • Willingness to obtain various training as directed by the Manager of Operations
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of $31.31 per hour
  • A split shift of six and a half (6.5) hours per day, five (5) days per week
  • A two-day training and orientation session (dates to be determined)
