About the Role

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation. As a Mold Maker/Tool Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our injection molding facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly troubleshooting, improvements, preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on molds and auxiliary equipment;
  • Read and verify all critical information on work orders and drawings;
  • Operate lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, welding equipment, and radial drilling machine independently;
  • Assemble and maintain hot runner systems;
  • Ensure that all tools and fixtures are present at the workplace to facilitate proper maintenance;
  • Design and manufacture End of Arms Tools;
  • Knowledge of robots, injection molding machines, and their auxiliary equipment;
  • Ability to repair texture surfaces.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Program or equivalent;
  • Hold a ticket in Mould/Tool and Die Making;
  • Experience in an injection molding facility;
  • Forklift and crane license;
  • Electrical/hydraulic and hot runners experience, an asset;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
