Overview:

The Team: Our dedicated Workload team focuses on evaluating businesses for high-risk audits. We foster a collaborative environment where all team members contribute, ensuring that assistance is readily available. You will collaborate closely with fellow auditors and senior auditors to ensure comprehensive and impactful audit leads.

The Role: In this capacity, you will independently assess taxpayers to pinpoint high-risk cases for audit, optimizing the use of our resources. Your analytical skills and decision-making are vital to maintaining the integrity of our audit leads. This position provides opportunities to work with various teams within the branch and engage in innovative projects targeting new industries with potential non-compliance risks.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation CPA - CA, CGA, CMA, from a recognized Canadian Accounting Association.
  • At least 3 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of audit experience specifically in a consumption taxes context.

Position Details:

Flexible work arrangements are available; this role may allow for up to 5 days of remote work per week, subject to an approved telework agreement. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be necessary. Employees of the BC Public Service must reside in BC at the time of employment.
