Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training and development.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and maintain a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment, with a focus on supervision and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards.
