About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to join our team at Sun Life Financial. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Pega Platform applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of Pega Platform applications, including incident response, infrastructure support, stability, and performance management.
  • Provide technical analysis, application development, and maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our applications.
  • Monitor and communicate performance/system availability to ensure quality of services are delivered.
  • Provide ongoing support of Pega applications, including responding to production and non-production incidents, completing service requests, providing problem analysis and resolution, escalation, and reporting as necessary.
Requirements
  • Certification and/or working experience with Pega Platform version 8 and higher.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated application and production support experience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment.
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) or similar database technologies.
  • Experience with technologies such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Java, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Experience with System Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodologies.
  • Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma, or equivalent experience.
