Parenting Facilitator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Parenting Facilitator to join our team at Our Lady of the Assumption. As a Parenting Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting the early learning and well-being of children from birth to six years of age, while also promoting positive parent-child interaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Early On Child & Family Centre, ensuring compliance with Board policies and procedures.
- Facilitate parenting education that promotes a positive home-school partnership.
- Encourage parental engagement in planning and participating in activities with the children.
- Collaborate with the Principal, school staff, and childcare staff to provide a high-quality, play-based, developmentally appropriate program.
- Ensure consistent program delivery based on current research and best practices.
- Provide a welcoming, safe, tidy, and clean environment for parents/caregivers and children.
- Provide a nutritious snack to children attending the program.
- Participate in outreach activities to promote the program and maintain attendance levels.
- Track program progress and attendance, ensuring records are kept up to date.
- Perform administrative duties, including data collection for program statistics and maintaining inventory of the Centre.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma plus at least 2 years of related university education.
- Minimum two years' experience working with families and their young children (ages 0-6) in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of and experience in family literacy and early childhood education.
- Knowledge of the early acquisition of literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in working with various outreach and community development programs.
- Strong leadership, communications, organization, and interpersonal skills.
