Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team at Country Grocer. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management: Restock shelves, maintain inventory levels, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling of products.
  • Sales Support: Assist customers with product inquiries, make recommendations, and promote sales of Country Grocer products.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the grocery department and surrounding areas.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and inventory goals, and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
  • Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
