Work EnvironmentThe position is set in a fast-paced atmosphere where the ability to perform under pressure is essential. Candidates should be prepared for a variety of physical activities including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and procure necessary ingredients and supplies while ensuring top-notch food service and quality control.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and concerns promptly.
- Develop strategies to meet work schedules and provide training to staff on their duties.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols while preparing budgets and cost estimates.
Applicants should have:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- A strong understanding of food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and compliance procedures.
- A valid Food Handler Certificate.
- The ability to stand for long periods and thrive in a high-energy setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field is preferred.
CompensationThe position offers a competitive wage along with benefits including annual vacation days. This is a permanent, full-time role.
