Assistant Professor of Teaching in Chemical Engineering

Position Overview
The University of British Columbia is seeking applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and educational leadership within a premier engineering department.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a PhD in Chemical and/or Biological Engineering or a closely related engineering field. Candidates should also be registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, with registration expected within five years of appointment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Teach a variety of courses across our accredited undergraduate programs.
- Engage in educational leadership, focusing on curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Contribute to enhancing teaching and learning outcomes within the department.
- Participate in service activities that benefit the university and the broader community.
Expectations
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and have a clear potential for educational leadership. Experience in teaching biochemical and biological engineering, biotechnology, and related fields is highly desirable.
