We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with a strong background in data to join our boutique systematic FinTech firm. This role is integral to developing the tooling and environment for our data pipelines to flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a deep understanding of our data applications and research teams' needs
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Design, implement, test, optimize and troubleshoot Python data applications, frameworks, and services
  • Take the lead on production support during working hours

Requirements:

  • Proven experience and success in building large Python-based software
  • Sound knowledge and experience with SQL
  • Strong Python, algorithms, and software design skills
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication
  • Practical knowledge of commonly used protocols and tools used to transfer data (e.g. FTP, SFTP, APIs, AWS S3)

Nice to Have:

  • Hands on experience with Spark and/or the Apache stack
  • Experience in the gaming industry or FinTech
  • Interest in finance/capital markets
