About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Champs Day Care Centre Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education
    • Assist in the care and supervision of infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
    • Participate in educational programs that promote the development of children, under the guidance of our experienced early childhood educators.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
    • Support the ordering of supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Centre Operations
    • Contribute to the preparation of snacks and the arrangement of rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
    • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and contribute to the development of strategies to support their growth.
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
