Job Title: Systems Automation Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Automation Developer to join our team at 4AG Robotics in Salmon Arm, BC.

About the Role:

As a Systems Automation Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for industrial applications. Your expertise will be utilized to develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, utilize multi-axis motion control programming, and program and optimize robotic arms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PLC programs for industrial automation systems
  • Utilize expertise in multi-axis motion control programming for industrial servo drives
  • Program and optimize robotic arms, including gantry and SCARA configurations
  • Ensure seamless integration of robotic systems into overall industrial processes
  • Configure and integrate various industrial sensors
  • Lead the commissioning of industrial control systems
  • Identify and resolve issues through effective troubleshooting techniques

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • PLC programming skills (e.g. Ladder, Structured Text) and computer programming skills (e.g. C++, Python)
  • Proficient in motion control programming for industrial servo drives
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial robotic arm programming (6-axis, SCARA)
  • Experience with electrical control cabinets and industrial sensors
  • Ability to troubleshoot and commission industrial control systems
