About the Role

Lumentum is seeking a seasoned embedded application developer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge software for our next-generation optical communication products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality embedded application software.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in embedded software development.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ development.
  • Strong understanding of multi-threaded software design and architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with source code control systems (Git, Subversion).
  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems (Linux, FreeRTOS, VxWorks).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with development tools and frameworks (Redis, Docker, OpenConfig, YANG).
  • Understanding of hardware devices and interfaces (ADCs, DACs, Clocks, UART).
  • Ability to work with electronic schematics and understand device connections.
  • Knowledge of optical telecommunications (DWDM, Optical Amplifiers, ROADMs, MEMs).
