Memorial University's Office of Development and Alumni Engagement seeks experienced fundraising professionals to contribute to a team that supports education, research, economic growth, and leadership development.
The successful candidates will manage diverse portfolios of critical donor relationships encompassing individuals, corporations, and foundations. Reporting structures will vary depending on the position: one Senior Development Officer will report to the Associate Director, Development, while the other will jointly report to both the Dean of Medicine and the Associate Director, Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement fundraising strategies aligned with university goals and campaigns.
- Cultivate and manage active donor relationships, focusing on high-capacity prospects.
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans for specific initiatives and campaigns.
- Secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations through personalized outreach and relationship building.
- Collaborate with academic leaders to identify fundraising opportunities and support solicitation efforts.
- Manage and mentor Development staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Ensure efficient administration of fundraising processes and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a proven track record in fundraising within the higher education sector. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees in relevant fields are highly desirable.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $66,092 - $90,126 per annum (Management and Professional), plus a market differential of $18,357.
