Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs in the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist chefs in the preparation of menu items, including food handling, cutting, and portioning.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by serving customers at counters or buffet tables, and responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, initiative, dependability, and positive attitude.
