Role Summary

The Trading Systems Supervisor is a pivotal role within the middle office of EightSix Network, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to manage the Portfolio Management System, including the development and documentation of workflows for trading, settlements, reporting, performance evaluation, and billing.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Design and deploy customized software solutions, primarily utilizing SQL and Python, to enhance and automate operational processes.
  • Establish and enforce verification protocols to minimize errors in trading and non-trading activities.
  • Oversee the management of the Salesforce platform.
  • Coordinate internal and external deadlines, effectively resolving conflicting priorities and negotiating feasible timelines with executives and stakeholders.
  • Communicate processes clearly and provide training to team members.
  • Utilize your understanding of company operations and policies to perform duties with high accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foster a sense of accountability within the team and encourage team members to take responsibility for their actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • CFA designation or equivalent industry qualifications.
  • Familiarity with ABOR/IBOR systems such as Advent, Simcorp, or Broadridge is advantageous.
  • Extensive programming experience, particularly in:
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Object-Oriented and Functional programming
    • OpenAPI, REST, Bloomberg API
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in trading, portfolio management, and settlements.
  • Experience with multi-broker and multi-custodian settlement processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, including workflow development, is beneficial.
  • Experience in system and software implementation projects is preferred.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Capability to devise technical implementation strategies and provide guidance to staff.
  • Proven track record in diagnosing inefficiencies and delivering effective solutions.
  • High standards of professionalism, ethics, and competence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
