Position Overview

As a Necropsy Technician at our facility, you will primarily conduct post-mortem examinations of animals, adhering to ethical standards and study protocols. Your role is vital in ensuring the welfare of our animals and the reliability of our preclinical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dissections and assess animal tissues for pathologists
  • Document and weigh all organ abnormalities
  • Administer euthanasia to animals prior to necropsy procedures
Essential Qualifications:

We seek candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Collegial Diploma in Animal Health or a related Biology field
  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related Animal Science field
  • Experience in dissection (preferred)
  • Strong observational skills
  • Physical capability to lift up to 20 kg and perform various physical tasks
  • Proficiency in written English is required; bilingualism in French and English is an asset

Position Specifics:

  • Location: Senneville with complimentary parking and shuttle service
  • Compensation: Starting at $21.50 per hour
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Work Schedule: Daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend and evening shifts
  • Permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours per week
