MPA Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team in a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality long-term care to seniors across British Columbia.
About the Role:
As a Dietitian, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support the nutritional needs of residents, promoting their independence and dignity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive, person-centered nutritional assessments of residents upon admission and as needed.
- Working in partnership with the Food Services Supervisor and multidisciplinary team to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met.
- Designing and periodically reviewing menus to ensure they meet regulatory standards as well as residents' nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating the Nutritional Program.
- Providing evidence-based nutrition education and guidance on topics such as swallowing disorders and caloric intake to both residents and staff.
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives with the Food Services Team, such as audits.
- Regularly meeting with the Food Services Team to review the Nutritional Program and address any resident concerns.
- Engaging in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance competency in the role.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition and completion of dietetic internship.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- 1-2 years post-qualifying experience as a Dietician.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
Desirable Qualifications:
Previous experience working with geriatric populations or in a long-term care setting.
Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
