About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at ESW Building Services Inc. as a Plastering and Finishing Expert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall and plaster surfaces in commercial, institutional, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Install drywall sheets, apply successive coats of compound, and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Plastering and Finishing: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and aesthetically pleasing surface.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering and finishing.
  • Task Management: Instruct apprentices, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Health and Safety: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Commercial, institutional, and residential settings, with varying locations and work conditions.
