We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our growing team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for delivering technical leadership on sizeable projects involving monolithic architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and skill development.
  • Develop high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Cloud technologies such as GCP or Azure.
  • Lead initiatives concerned with complex enhancements of existing applications or creation of new ones, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Participate in code review sessions to ensure best practices are upheld and code quality is maintained.
  • Identify and mitigate potential technical risks and issues early in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise as a Software Developer specialized in Java-related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures, with expertise in GCP or Azure.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good communication capabilities for effective collaboration across various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with legacy systems involving monolithic architectures.
  • Previous experience within the healthcare domain is considered a major asset.
